Each year, RidgeGate teams up with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to provide free, guided nature hikes throughout the spring, summer and fall. These hikes are led by professional naturalists from SSPRD, and offer insight and education into the natural ecosystems within the open space at RidgeGate, while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. Hikes are free to the public, but registration is required. Please register below!

Spring in the Foothills – Celebrating Native Plants
Guides: Beth and Peggy from South Suburban Parks and Recreation

Sometimes it takes a discerning eye to fully appreciate our Colorado native plants. Join a naturalist to find what’s in bloom, particularly eye-catching, or a good choice for your home landscape on this spring evening. Bring along your friends and family to this moderate 2-mile hike. Kids are welcome, ages 5+ recommended.
