Each year, RidgeGate teams up with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to provide free, guided nature hikes throughout RidgeGate’s expansive bluffs trail system.
These hikes are led by professional naturalists from the district, and offer insight and education into the natural ecosystems within the open space at RidgeGate, while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. Hikes are free to the public.
Bison in Colorado: Not just a university mascot. Learn some of the bison’s important history while walking the high plains. These majestic creatures held a pivotal role in Native American life and are regaining importance in recent years.
