Among RidgeGate’s cultural facilities is the 38-acre historic Schweiger Ranch, located just east of the RidgeGate Parkway and I-25 interchange. The historic restoration of the ranch and its buildings, led by the nonprofit Schweiger Ranch Foundation, gives us an important glimpse into the settlers’ lives in the late 1800s. Today, Schweiger Ranch is open to the public for self-guided visits every third Saturday, and free guided tours, storytelling campfires and nature hikes are also offered. Register for or learn more about these events here.

Open Days for Self-Guided Tours (Third Saturday of the month, April-December from 1-5pm): Explore the rich history and beauty of Schweiger Ranch with a self-guided tour of the historic property and outbuildings.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the historic house is currently closed to public access. A virtual tour of the house interior is available during open hours of 1-5pm.
All State and TriCounty COVID regulations will be in place. Face masks are required and must be worn at all times. The House is temporarily closed due to COVID. Registration required. Register for or learn more about these events here.
